I agree with Hugh. I have been testing CEC in my biochar soils for years and it most definitely changes, but it also improves the CEC of the soil. The lab I use is Logan Labs () and Soil Test Labs, Moses Lake ( https://soiltestlab.com/). Soil Test Labs have some experience with biochar because they are often used by Wash State Univ biochar folks. Norm
