By aging the urine, you are giving it time to undergo chemical changes. Fresh urine usually has pH range of 4.5 to 7. At that state, the urine can harbor pathogens. However, as the urine age, the pH moves up to 8-9. At that state, urine is alkaline so much that pathogen cannot survive in such salty substance.
Therefore, because chemical changes are stabilised and bacteria are dead, so will the smell be eradicated. No more smell unless the urine is contaminated and exposed to oxygen.
