The photooxidation won't happen at night. Methane (emitted from soil or livestock) is lighter than N2 or O2, so even if daytime photooxidation is rapid enough to remove methane, nighttime emissions will escape into the upper atmosphere away from the humid ground layer. Walter's declaration gives the impression that, in regenerative systems, increased methane emissions are largely transformed into less potent gasses. I think he may be wrong by half.
